AI Video Marketing Statistics for Indian Small Businesses 2026
32 verified statistics on video marketing, Reels consumption, SMB digital adoption, AI video market size, regional-language internet use, and mobile commerce in India. Every figure linked to its primary publisher, dated, and flagged when the publisher sells the thing it measures.
Verification standard
Every figure on this page was opened at the publisher's own page or PDF and confirmed in the wording shown before it was added. Nothing is quoted from memory, from a secondary blog or from an aggregator listicle. Each row names the publisher in the sentence, records the publication date, and says whether the publisher sells the thing the number flatters. Where a primary document could not be machine-read, the row says "secondary (corroborated)" and was confirmed in two independent outlets that agree exactly. If a statistic cannot be verified at a live primary source, it is not on this page.

Regional-language internet usage in India
Publisher: IAMAI-Kantar, "Internet in India Report 2024" (released 16 January 2025). Video marketing effectiveness
Every organisation that publishes video-effectiveness data also sells video, so treat this whole section as vendor evidence. The figures below come from Wyzowl's 2026 survey of 266 marketers, a small self-selected sample. They are attributed by name in every sentence for that reason.
| Statistic | Source | Published | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| In Wyzowl's 2026 survey of 266 marketers, 91% of businesses said they use video as a marketing tool. | Wyzowl, "State of Video Marketing 2026" | 2026 edition (fieldwork late 2025) | PrimaryVendor interest: Wyzowl sells video production; 266-respondent self-selected sample |

AI video generation market size
Two different markets are sized here and they must not be compared. Fortune Business Insights sizes the AI video GENERATOR market (generation tools only, the category POSTOLA AI is in). Precedence Research sizes the much wider AI VIDEO market, which also includes analytics, surveillance, editing and enhancement. Both are proprietary modelled forecasts sold as paid reports, not measured data; the firm is named every time.
| Statistic | Source | Published | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fortune Business Insights valued the global AI video generator market at USD 716.8 million in 2025. | Fortune Business Insights, "AI Video Generator Market" | Updated 17 Aug 2026 | Primary (modelled estimate)Vendor interest: Paid-report publisher; methodology not public |

Cost of traditional video production versus AI
No research firm, industry body or government source publishes a verifiable cost-of-video-production benchmark. The two rows below are one production company's published US rate guidance. They are not Indian prices and must not be read as what an Indian small business pays. The direction of the gap is what matters, not the numbers.
| Statistic | Source | Published | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vidico's published rate guidance puts professional video production at $1,000-$10,000 per finished minute versus $0.50-$30 per minute for AI video platforms (US market). | Vidico, "Video Production Cost" | 11 Apr 2026 | Rate card, not researchVendor interest: Vidico is a video production company; US rates |
| Vidico prices short-form social media video at $500-$3,000 per finished minute and commercial/brand film at $5,000-$20,000+ per finished minute (US market). | Vidico, "Video Production Cost" | 11 Apr 2026 | Rate card, not researchVendor interest: Vidico is a video production company; US rates |
What other pages get wrong about these sources
Errors found while verifying, kept here so nobody repeats them.
FICCI-EY regional-language share is not a clean upward trend
The regional-language share of content produced was 52% in 2023, dipped to 48% in 2024, then rose to 56% in 2025. Any page that writes "up from 48% in 2023" has the years wrong.
"27% in 2020 to 56% in 2025" is a guest foreword, and a different measure
That line in the same FICCI-EY report belongs to a guest foreword by Allu Aravind and describes OTT consumption share. EY's own 56% is share of content produced. Same number, two measures.
There is no verifiable Hinglish marketing statistic
No primary research firm, government body or platform publishes a measurable Hinglish advertising-performance figure. POSTOLA AI supports Hinglish as a product feature; this page puts no number on it.
Secondary outlets misreported Meta's India Reels figures
Trade coverage circulated "33% higher creator engagement" and "92% prefer Reels". Meta's own post says nearly 60% higher creator engagement, and the 92% figure does not appear in it at all.
Aggregator blogs garbled the Wyzowl survey
"88% say video increased sales and leads" merges two separate Wyzowl figures (83% sales, 85% leads). The widely quoted 93% is about user understanding, not strategy importance.
IBEF misstates the IAMAI 98% figure
The correct claim is that 98% of Indian internet users accessed content in Indic languages, with Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam the most popular among them, not that 98% consume those three languages.
Statistics we refused to publish
Widely circulated, but no live primary source could be found for any of them.
- "Regional-language ads lift CTR by 20-40%": agency blog claim, no primary study, no methodology.
- "90% of YouTube India consumption is regional-language": never sourced to a Google or YouTube publication.
- "Businesses using video grow revenue 49% faster" and "landing pages with video convert 86% better": no retrievable primary study behind either.
- "AI cut median production cost from $4,200 to $2,500 per minute": cites unnamed "Clutch survey data" with no retrievable publication.
- Grand View Research AI video generator figures: the source page could not be reached, so the number could not be confirmed.
What POSTOLA AI makes from these numbers
- AI product video makerOne product photo in, a finished cinematic product video out.
- AI avatar videoA realistic presenter holds your product and talks about it in Hindi, Hinglish or English.
- Virtual try-onClothing and accessories worn by an AI model, no photoshoot.
